Product Manager
The Company
Private Tech was founded in early 2022 by Palantir and Anduril alums with deep expertise in privacy and national security. Our CEO became passionate about privacy and security on mobile devices while running Palantir’s US Intelligence Community business.
We are building a cellular service provider that helps citizens (including those responsible for our nation’s security) regain their personal digital sovereignty, beginning with the devices in their pockets. We have raised money from XYZ, Andreessen Horowitz, and other top tier VCs, and are growing the team.
We believe that where we are, where we go, and whom we are with is among our most personal information and should be kept private. Privacy is not something you achieve by limiting yourself or by doing less, it is a set of features to be built so you can do more.
The Team
Our product and engineering teams have decades of experience solving deeply technical problems up and down the stack. Engineering is the main effort of the business– building things that have never existed before is what we do. We seek builders and hackers, value creativity, and trust our engineers to do great things.
The Role
The Product Manager role at Private Tech will report to the Head of Product and be the second product hire at the company. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle in a variety of problem-spaces that touch the entire customer journey involved with mobile services, privacy, and security. You will have to fully understand the business objectives and make sound risk-based decisions to succeed.
Our customers are end users, but they will also be organizations (government and enterprise), and this job must be able to balance delivering solutions while connecting the dots between the customer's pain point and the business.
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years experience as a product manager or equivalent experience.
A leader (you must be comfortable with decision-making and leading cross-functional teams)
Adaptable (this is a start-up)
Learn Rapidly (new domains and technology)
Experienced (a PM who knows how to build products considering value risk, usability risk, feasibility risk, and business viability risk)
Customer-focused (focus on the problems that matter most)
Passionate about privacy & security
Data-driven
Preferred:
Ideally, you’ve worked in the tech sector or telecom industry and have 0 to 1 experience
Based in NYC or DC
